Stir Together Cake

100g butter or margarine

200ml sugar

200ml flour

1 tsp baking powder

1 tsp vanilla sugar or a couple of drops of vanilla essence (optional)

2 eggs

A handful of your choice of berries or fruit (fresh or frozen)

Measure out all of the ingredients.

Melt the butter and let it cool.

Heat the oven to 175C/fan 170C.

Place all of the ingredients into a bowl and stir together.

Grease and breadcrumb a cake mold, then pour in the mix.

Finally, place the berries or fruit on top and cook for 25-30 mins.

P.S. This cake freezes very well!
